If you’ve ever bought something online and thought “this doesn’t feel like what I saw,” that’s exactly why this site exists.
I test things the way people actually use them. Not studio testing, not scripted, just real use. I check how fast something boils, how much electricity it pulls, how hot it gets, how it holds up after days of use. I use meters, watt readers, temperature guns, and whatever I have to get actual numbers, not guesses.
Sometimes the results don’t make sense, sometimes they surprise me, but that’s part of it. I’d rather show real results than clean numbers that look good on paper.
Ratenrave is where I post those results.
I started this because most reviews online feel the same. Same words, same pros, same cons. You can tell they didn’t even touch the product. Here, if it’s posted, it’s been handled, tested, or at least properly checked.
I cover products from Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, Target, and AliExpress depending on what I can actually get and test. Local or international, doesn’t matter, if it’s useful, I’ll check it.
Most of the pictures here will have a small note with “Ratenrave” written on them. That’s just to show the product was actually with me, tested, and not pulled from somewhere else.

This site is based in the Philippines, so pricing and testing context is local most of the time. But I also review global products, especially from Amazon, Target, and AliExpress.

I’ve worked in kitchens before and used a lot of these tools in actual situations. I still use most of what I review. If something is bad, I’ll say it. If it’s good but has issues, I’ll say that too.

A good part of what I earn here goes into feeding and caring for rescued cats. I’ve been doing this for years, and a lot of the pet-related items here are tested with them.

What I try is what works.
